My name is Norman J. Scearce, and I am a servant leader, community advocate, and lifelong resident of Montgomery County, Ohio. For more than four decades, this community has shaped who I am, and I have committed my life to giving back through faith, education, and public service.
I currently serve in leadership at Gateway Cathedral, where I am passionate about developing people, strengthening families, and building systems that allow ministry to thrive beyond the walls of the church. In addition to pastoral leadership, I help guide several community-focused initiatives under the Gateway umbrella, including youth enrichment programs, early learning efforts, and community development projects designed to meet real needs with real solutions.
My commitment to education and youth development led me to serve as a school board member for Trotwood-Madison City Schools, where I have worked to advocate for students, support educators, and promote accountability and opportunity for every child. I remain actively involved in local boards, commissions, and civic efforts that seek to improve quality of life, expand access, and ensure responsible leadership across our region.
Professionally and academically, I am rooted in psychology, counseling, and educational leadership, with a strong interest in how faith, cognition, and community intersect to shape healthy individuals and systems. Whether in the classroom, the church, or the public square, I believe lasting change happens when hope is paired with structure, discipline, and compassion.
Above all, I am a husband, a father of three children who proudly attend public schools, and a small business owner who understands the challenges facing working families. Everything I do is guided by a simple principle: serve with integrity, lead with vision, and leave people and places better than I found them.
